Take a guess

I weighed my Horned Puff Adder today; she weighed 40 grams. Guess how much she weighed on Sept. 10, 2004 when I weighed her last?

Phobos have you ever observed caudal luring in these snakes. I had a couple 30 years ago that wiggled tails to lure lizards.

Yes, She does that on occassion, along with the typical "head bobbing" that is common with other Bitis.

One time I threw a hopper in her cage for a meal. She started "caudal luring" but got fed up with it after a short time because the mouse was not paying attention. She then zoomed across the cage and whacked the mouse, case closed!

Very intersting. Mine only reacted that way with lizards which is logical. Are the mice attracted to the moving tail? Great photo b y the way.

cheers
