Hey getulites,

I took my florida kingsnakes out of a 2-month brumation on Jan 27. All looked healthy and fat and began feeding on Feb 1 and ate regularly. Now one of the males and the female is in shed.

So, from those with experience, would this be considered a quick post-brumation shed or would this be the "I Want It Now" shed?

Anyone introduce theirs this early in the season?

And now the reverse trio kills me!!! Only one male gets to breed, and I'm thinking the het axanthic (poss. het whitesided) with the snow instead of the lav. (who's also in shed). Thoughts?

Thanks!

if you use your lav male with your snow fem. you product will be all lavs het for axanthic. (snow). that would be cool.Chris

what is this female's breeding history? or is this her first time breeding? i would put the pair together after she has shed, maybe 2 or three times over the course of a week. if she is not ready to mate with the male it will be apparent. keep notes on what happens so if she IS an early breeder, you will be prepared for it in the future.
can't tell you which way to pair them up, it all sounds good.
best of luck,
dave
