i would say get atleast a 29 gallon aquarium.

Not really I use 38 gal. reptariums and seem to work great for my trios I would say an 18 gal. really is to small.

I keep a trio in a 20 gallon I also provide plenty of hiding places fake plants and wood for them to climb on. They seem to be doing great and have already produced 2 clutches for me so far.
