The albino is real nice. What do you feed them earthworms? Do you house them in a group?
thanks
They'll eat worms, I'm pretty sure the normals ate a few. I just threw a bunch of worms in with the normals. I tried feeding the albino and he wasn't hungry I guess. I'm just going to set up the albino in a new enclosure, with leaves, and soil as the substrate, and let worms live in there and he can eat them at his own pace.
Right now all 4 normals are together, I'm putting them together to let them breed, I'm pretty sure they will/have. 2 of them look pretty thick, gravid?

Why not keep that rare albino with the others in the hopes that he/she breeds?
Because, 1) he's not sexually mature yet. 2) I don't want to waste time raising up snakes that might not be het for albino. If I put all of the snakes together, there's a good chance that I'll get babies out of the females, but how would I know that the albino fathered those clutches, if he did? .... So I could end up raising normal earth snakes, which would be a waste of time in this project. So I'm going to wait until the snake is sexually mature, which could possibly be this spring if I get him eating, most likely not until next spring though. And I'll put him in with the females that I have, so that way I'll know.

Lol oh yea you wouldnt know who the father, mother was didnt think of that.
They look dark in the close up picture, but it's real blurry so it's hard to tell.
I've found hundreds of rough earth snakes and some are very light colored, some are dark, and a few were a very nice maroon red color. I have a photo of a very light colored one next to a dark one...since they eyes were pigmented, it could only be considered hypo or just a variation.
My Online Page (herp trips, lifelist, photography, etc)
The snake's eyes are red. It is hard to tell from the shots, the pics become blurry when I upload them. The light colored one on your site, looks to just be in shed.

I assure you the light colored one is not in shed. The eyes are not opaque. Here's a better photo with a side by side comparison.
I wouldn't say the one on the right is anything other than a normal specimen, a few of the adults I have are that color.
