Anyone like a touch of crimson on their boas?

gray Feb 18, 2005 08:14 PM

Not sure where this is going but she has continued to develop more red ever since I acquired her. I should have put another boa in the pictures for comparison.

I would have a really hard time calling that a "normal" boa, Gray. What an exceptional specimen.

Bravo Grey... that is one awsome looking boa!

That's not one of those oh so controvertial 'american jungles' is it?

I recall you had one, and they were quite red.

No matter, it's a smoker!

I've looked at them a few times on your site. Lusted...Is more like it. I've never agreed with the "name" of it....But, there is no denying that those are great looking boas.

As far as I know, this animal is not a Blood boa although it has not been ruled out. This boa is actually more famous for igniting one of the most emotional and longest running threads (battles?) in the recent history of this forum. I'm hesitant to bring this up again but it was alluded to by Sean (OBZ). Ruby is the original "American Jungle" or what were later known by a more derisive name (I'll leave that one out). I have been quietly and slowing raising her up. I later acquired her sister (Nina) who has grown much slower but is now turning red as well. I was told these animals were produced by Chris McQuade. I did manage to acquire a photo of Mom. Would love to see Dad but haven't. See any resemblance?

No joke about that!
Poor little boa didn't know that it caused quite a stir huh?
They are just beautiful looking babies! Just amazing!
I want to see some bigger pics gray. I really want to see some close up detail.
Put me on that list when babies are born in the future.
