My ball hasn't "gone" in a while. How long is an abnormal amount of time for a ball python to not poop? When should i be worried and possibly seek out a vet? How can i tell if it is impacted? Please give me any info you can. Thanks

Try soaking your animal in water . The easiest way would be to use a tupperware with lid filled a few inches with room temp water . Let the animal sit in it for an hour or soo , you will most likely see and smell results !
I know many people stand behind the warm water soak as their "cure" for constipation, and from what I've heard it works for them. Personally, I've tried this several times with various animals in my collection with no results. It also turned out that those same animals were the ones who seem to "hold it" the longest. Generally, I no longer worry about constipation with these individuals because I know that as soon as their next shed comes so will the defecation. For some reason they all hold it until immediately following their shed so I end up with a shiny, bright, new, deflated looking snake.
