Hey guys!! how's everyone doing? anyway...it's been a few months now...and all my leo's are showing signs of sexing...

wow

who would've guessed...THEY'RE ALL MALES!!!!! now tell me...what are the odds that i get 4 males from my local PETCO...

they all have hemipenal (sp?) bulges AND they are all forming a very prominent, visible "V"

wow i'm amazed @ this...i thought they were all females...i'll post some pics later for your guys input...

just thought this was a bit funny and wanted to share...thanks for reading ;D

well add mine to your list... i've gotten a few from a local petco, the first, a tremper albino, turned out to be male. I picked one up 5 months later hoping to get a female, but its pretty obvious the last couple weeks that he's also a 'he.'

and my corn snake is male too. come to think of it, the only female pet i've ever had ever was a rose hair tarantula.

A lazy breeder that didn't want to wait more then 35 days to sell his babies.

I would be mad that I have to cage them all apart now.

Sounds like the odds are better than some of us once thought!
I bought three from a "reputable" dealer, said they were sexed for female. I had one male already, was going to breed the three females with the male. Well, two of the three females I bought were males! Fortunately I kept checking to be sure, and when they started showing some aggresive behavior to one another (the two males), I was able to seperate them.
It happens!

lol actually i'm not too pleased with it...i'm going to have to invest a few hundred dollars now to cage them seperately...i have ONE female lol...i'm trying to find out which of the males i want to make attempts at breeding her with...

I hope this doesn't make me sound like a JACK*@#, but this is what happens when you buy from a HUGE company such as PetCO, or PetSmart!! They have NO idea of the origin of their animals, all they know is that they mark it up 300% and sell them. You need a female..."SURE IT'S A FEMALE!" Their reptile experts are usually far from it. I'm not saying these places are bad, but I vowed never to buy animals from either one again years back when we bought 3 and they all died. Granted the other 10 (Collection was A LOT smaller back then) we had are still around 4 years later. The only way to get smarter in this world is to learn from your mistakes and other's. We would much rather support breeders, than a multi million dollar chain. Not only are there animals normally better taken care of, they can give you first hand knowledge of care, and breeding!

i had the same problem, now i have 4 males it sucks you have to get all new setups for each one but i am happy they are all awesome (to me at least). i have been real lucky buying from petco, i have learned from my mistakes i will not buy any more geckos until they are old enough to sex, and sometimes you get lucky and get an older gecko for 30.00 instead of the 90.00 they charge for adults, i got big bill for only 20.00 and he was an adult. here is gorgeous george
