I'll come to your Enclosure... no i think i'll come to yours....... What should i do? Read in let me know!

I'll be attempting to breeding my first pair of kings this season ... and I'm really curious as to "methods of introduction" i.e. I'd like to know which snake I should introduce to the other... I've read in various places that the female should be placed in the male's enclosure because she'll be easier for him to find (since her scent will be all over hers) ... but recently I read in a post that the male should be placed in the female's enclosure, cuz in the wild it's the male that finds the female not vice-versa.

So now my question is what method do you use?

What about a neutral enclosure for breeding ... has anyone tried?

I'd like to hear more than a few response plez...

Thanx

If you put the female in the males cage he won't be distracted by all the different smells and will quickly identify the scent of the female. I've had better luck doing it this way....and I've also had good luck doing it the other way.

Regardless of which method you use try misting the snakes when they are introduced....this can spark that loving feeling

Good luck,
Russ

Thanx for the info ... have you ever tried a neutral enclosure?

Yes I have tried neutral enlosers when changing new substrate. Out of convenience (cleaning time), I would put the male and female together in the new scent free encloser. It still works (eventually) but the male is not as immediataly excited as putting a male into a female encloser. IMO this works far better. Compare it to male homo-sapeins getting aroused in the dark V.S. the light
