My wife and I will be in the Sarasota, FL area in May and I'm hoping to spend a couple days herping in the wild or visiting reptile attractions. We'll have a car so we can drive anywhere within a few hours, I'm even thinking about going down to the glades (but not sure where to start).

Of course when I say herping in the wild I'm NOT talking about taking anything home, just hiking around looking for herps and leaving the habitat the way I found it. As a reptile rescue operator you can believe me when I say I know the consequences of people who don't care about what's best for reptiles.

Any suggestions on state parks to visit, hiking spots, or even reptile attractions (like I heard St. Auguestene Alligator Farm from a couple people) would be greatly appreciated. If you'd rather not post it publicly feel free to email me at: info@forgottenfriend.org

Thanks...hope to make the most of this FL trip and bring back some cool herp pictures.
