and here it goes! here's laurel and shadow, both hanging out.

try to frame that screen in with a thin piece of wood or something. i frame all of mine off with a 1/2"x 1/8" scraps after i rip the wood down to the size i need. then i just use some small brads to hold them in. just to make sure the geckos don't get snagged on it. i had my tegu's tail get a little rip in it a few years back and am always very careful about it now. it just looks like it's sticking out kinda bad. similar to the way i did the top of this. it also pulls the screen tighter when you put something over it like this.

it's vinyl screening, so it really shouldnt pose a threat to the gex, and none of the crix have chewed through it...

flamedcrestie Feb 21, 2005 01:54 PM

you should watch the crickets though, i've heard they, and grasshoppers like to chew through it. let me know if you need any ( have about 50'x36" of grey, and a roll of black) just taking up space in my garage. will sell rediculously cheap!

What would you want for the rool of screen ?

E-mail me at m_r_garrett@yahoo.com to work out the details.

Thanks

Mike

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:44 PM

here's a clearer pic of his side.

PHEve Feb 21, 2005 12:39 AM

Wow super terrific pics and geckos Mike. I just loved them all. You sure have a great looking family there.

Where should I begin, the striped mossy is awesome, looks as if someone drew those side stripes on, lol so cool.

And the satanics ALL are fabulous the kids are really cute, the male you got is splendid in color REALLY NEAT looking!

I love the redhead also, shes a beauty! Guess that leaves the henks, which since thats what I have , I always think they are quite SPECIAL.

That certainly was a treat , well worth the wait. Hope we don't have to wait so long to continue to see them,

I know you had some bad times this year, but by the looks of things, EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL ! You deserve it, seems as though you put alot into them.

Wish you the Best with them all.

great pics

i really love these guys..here's my favorite male from the new batch. he's incredible with his colors.

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:49 PM

this new male has a really narrow tail, probably the thinnest ive seen myself. he's probably the largest out of the new group, most of the others are pretty small.

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:50 PM

i have a thing for redheads.

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:51 PM

heres another of the males i got, pretty young.

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:52 PM

here she is.

umop_apisdn Feb 20, 2005 09:54 PM

these two juvies i just got may someday be paired with the ones i hatched out a year ago, once they're thoroughly cleared of parasites. i hope this one continues to turn more red.

flamedcrestie Feb 21, 2005 09:39 AM

they all look very healthy, how many of each species do you have now? that male mossy looks almost identical to one of the young ones geckofarmer has posted that he hatched out.
