I have bred BDs for 6 years, and have never seen a male be this rough. He is awful. I have tried everything. I kept him seperate from the females through brumation because I got him last fall and had him in quarantine. He is 2 yrs old and this is his first season breeding. I first tried putting a female in with him. He goes through the head bobbing for only about 10 seconds then attacks. She of course runs, and he just keeps biting her... all over. I have tried three different females and he is doing it with all of them. I have even tried putting him in the females cage thinking he may not be so cocky in unfamiliar surroundings. I end up rescuing her before anything happens because he is wild. He bites at their legs, tail, face..... I have never seen one do this. My other males have allways bit the back of the head, which is normal. I just don't want any of my females getting hurt. Any advice on what I could try would be greatly appreciated because I really need him to broaden my blood line. Thanks!!
