**Boa Won't Eat** please advise

omnifelpur Feb 20, 2005 02:28 AM

My boa for some reason just stopped eatting, I used to feed her once every 10 days but it's been about 15 now and no luck still. She's not interested in it, I thaw a rat and get it above room temp and she'll lick at it but thats all. I used to just place the rat anywhere in her cage and she would be all over it in seconds. She just shed about 3 days ago so I don't know what the deal is. Can anyone suggest something that might help or is it typical behavior for snakes to maybe not want to eat for a few days longer? Shes just about 17months old and she's been eatting thawed rats her whole life. Thanks!
