...I think I covered much of your question in the other post. I like to keep BRBs with temperature in the low 70s in the cool end and the high 70s in the warm end. The floor temperature above the underfloor heater is usually in the low to mid 80s. When I check the snakes with an IR heat gun they are usually in the mid 70s. Snakes that have recently eaten or are gravid will spend more time in the warmer parts of the cage. I use newspaper substrate and the snakes often get under it. I place large inverted clay flowerpots in the cage with the drain holes enlarged to allow the snake to crawl through them. BRBs are secretive and nocturnal and spend much of the daylight hours in the flowerpots. In my plastic shoeboxes where most of the little BRBs are kept I use paper twoel substrate. I use waterbowls that are large enough for the snake to soak in them. I also fill them near the top so when a snake soaks it spills water out onto the substrate. The humidity needs to be above 90% for little BRBs. Adults are fine with humidity from 70 to 100%. These are one of the few snakes that do well with limited ventilation. Because of the limited ventilation and high humidity the substrate will mold or mildew and needs to be changed often. Some people keep their BRBs in naturalistic vivaria which are very nice looking but require more work to set up and maintain.

>>How have you furnished your enclosures, what temp gradients do you use, humidity levels, hiding places, ventilation and so on. Just all the cold facts about the home of your BRB!
