Question about sound burm is making

snake187 Jul 07, 2003 04:54 PM

my albino burm has started to make a wheezing sound whenever she exhales. It is very faint and i have to put her right next to my ear to hear it but she does it every time. She doesn't have any mucus in her nose or mouth and hasn't been "yawning" so i don't know if this is the start of a RI if it is what can be done to knock it out w/out medicine? thanks in advance.

If so, this could be the result of a swollen nose and resulting in a restricted or limited airway or nostral/s. Otherwise I would say try not to worry. My burmese sometimes make little breathing noises, especially as they grow larger. I think some noise is fairly normal. How big is your girl?

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Sytstems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>[Me.]

No she hasn't been "nosing" any to my knowledge. She is about 3 ft now, but has really started growing in the last 2-3 months she has become a tremendous eater.
