Whats to presuade??? You already have two other snakes. Why would a racer be different than a ball or kings?

What's to persuade? Um.....my parents! Racers are completely different from balls and kings. Other than the fact that they are active, I read an excerpt from a book by Raymond Ditmar saying that they are pretty smart too. I really want a racer. I don't know why, I just do. If you see my other messages, you would also know that I do not remember the last time I saw a racer either in the wild or as a captive...sorry if I got carried away

They obviously dont mind you having snakes already. Racer's arent venomous and dont get huge so why wouldnt they let you have a racer?

Supposedly I have too many pets already and wouldn't have time for another. But I am planning to release my painted turtle, which will give me tons of free time. lol

Don't get a racer, northern black racers that I have had refused food for the greater majority of the time, and no one out there sells northern black racers guaranteed to be feeding, you'll notice that.

In captivity, I have had much better luck with getting them to eat a snake or a lizard instead of a mouse, you will notice this as well.

Change your mind about the racer, it would be for the better, most are very bad tempered, do not like handling at all, they will bite, and you will bleed.

No, I will NOT change my mind. So what if I get bit and bleed? I can just wash and clean the cut. A racer bite can't kill me. I'd rather be bitten by a racer than a Burmese python, wouldn't you? As for the feeding, I have heard many people talk about how well their racers feed.
