Let's see if this is going to work...first up is our normal male Shadow

next will be the snow corn that I picked up for my Dad at the herp show today (also picked him up an Okeetee but I couldn't get a good picture of her)

this is the caramel I picked up for us today too

and this is the anery A that we also got at the herp show today (she's a little shy)

Not the best pics in the world but they'll do for now. The new ones seem really tiny compared to Shadow (who ate his first fuzzy the other day )...anywho, just thought I'd share!

Katie, I'm surprised you found much at the show today. I was rather disappointed at the selection. If I was in the market for a ball python or a leopard gecko I would've been in heaven though...lol. You said you missed the December show, right? There were probably twice as many breeders at that one than there were today, but that may have something to do with the one in Butler next weekend, I dunno.

I did end up getting my first snake though! I got there about 9:30 or so, and I only saw 3 corns that were bigger than about 8 inches long. I ended up getting a ~30" male normal het amel. He's about 2 years old and eats out of your hand from what the guy told me. I also got my friend, who's "terrified" of snakes, to hold a corn today, so I did accomplish something...lol.

It definately wasn't as big of a show as it was in the past. You're right about the ball pythons or geckos though - heaven for them. There were actually a few corns - nobody had a ton though. Most were mixed in among other snakes like kings and milks. Didn't stand out as much. I got there with my boyfriend and his aunt, uncle and cousin around 10...at that point there was one guy who had 4 babies, guy next to him had a few in display cases (ton of ball pythons though), and when you first walked in the door the table straight ahead had some. That's where I got the caramel and the snow. It was mostly bigger snakes though. Took all our snakes by my work today afterwards to show my boss (she's the only one genuinely interested in my snakes - everyone else tolerates me talking about them) and got her to hold one of the corns which was an accomplishment. My mom's all excited about the snow - which is really funny considering she (and my sis) were the typical "you can't bring them down here" and now love them. Jonathan (my boyfriend) ended up with another snake and his cousin got a red tailed boa which is really nice. Big though. Not sure if I'm going to the one in Butler, or even the one on the 6th for that matter. Definately weren't near the number of people there. Usually there's more lizards too (other than geckos). Oh well...still had fun and spent way too much money.

Yeah that guy with the corns right inside the door had an amel okeetee I almost got. I think he's the one that had a decent sized snow too. I wanted something bigger than a tiny hatchling though because I didn't really want something that could potentially have feeding problems (since I've never had a snake before I figured I better be safe...lol). The people I got mine off of were on the farthest table to the right against the wall when you walked in - Bruckman Reptiles from Ligonier.

If you go to the one in Butler, I know the one guy that's going to be there has a ~24" blizzard for sale. Other than that, I'm not sure who else will be around.
