South American Coral Snakes

Just curios:

Does anyone in America deal in/with South American Corals? Are they even legal in the US, or legal to import? I don't recall them being mentioned in quite a while.

I am no where near experienced in hots, but I'd like to eventually try to get a Micrurus lemniscatus helleri. Beautiful snake...

I've never heard them mentioned here but I think the legalities on keeping them would be a state concern as I"m sure you've realized from other threads. The only nationwide concerns would be endangered and CITES animals.

If that answers your question then I think the next step would be to consider the logistics of such an animal. Where would you get it from? I'd imagine you'd have to contact an importer directly and inquire about it. Another consideration is if antivenom is available for it.
