I am using a UVA/UVB strip light by ESU, how often should the bulbs be replaced? Is it every 6 months? Thanks a bunch!

Hi, BigShark!

There is quite a bit of controversy over this subject. The best
answer I've heard to date is to check out a free group on the
free Yahoo.Com website called the UV Meters Group or some name
like that. There's a good chance they've done actually testing
of the various manufacturers UV bulbs and can give you the
hard numbers of how well it actually measures up when tested
with a UV meter in the real world (real people's tanks who
are using them.). Worth a try. I plan on checking that group
out myself. Just been too busy posting and replying lately.
