Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a few turtles now that I just love and I've been wanting a tortoise for awhile but wondering about winter time. I've been looking for somekind of zone chart for them but hadn't found anything yet.
So, I thought I'd ask here....Could a Russian Tortoise live outside year round in AL? And does anyone know of a good place to get one?

there are two or three folks with RTs in alabama and a couple in louisiana. you can contact them by going to the forum on:

good places to get RTs are rescue operations and breeders.
