I recently got a redfoot tortoise. I think it is about two or three years old. I was wondering how old it has to be to determine its gender and how to determine its gender. Thanks.

Generally one can start making a guess when they are around
5 inches SCL. But it will remain a good guess for another
couple of years, and surprises do happen.
If you would post a good picture of the plastron and eventually
top and sideview of the carapace, we could have a look...
My three year old Kathrin is 5 inches long and a pretty obvious
girl!
Emjoy your Redfoot,
Gaby
