Normal?

blixs Feb 21, 2005 05:13 AM

Is it normal for a female beardie to just lay eggs out of the blue? The store guy said to just throw then away else she would break them and they would stink. There's no male involved.

Sure it is completely normal for them to lay infertile eggs every now and then. Just got to make sure your female is getting the vitamins, and calcium she needs to make the eggs, and watch for signs such as eating lots then all of a sudden going off food, and scratching & digging in the corners of the cage. If they are infertile then yeah just toss them away before they rot, and stink.
