Here is a closer look at the female. I can only imagine how hard it is to find these guys in the wild.

where did you pick them up from?

umop_apisdn Feb 21, 2005 11:27 AM

yea, ive been trying real hard to find a male, and every time i find an ad, i can never get a response from the seller!

beautiful gex, though. love it how they have some turquoise color in em!

Make sure you get some food and fluids in them quick. They look like their in pretty bad shape.

i disagree, from what it looks like they've all got nice flat tails. they look to be pretty young though. colors are a bit intense, but probably because they are younger. of course, its always a good idea to keep them well hydrated and fed, especially when they're new.

flamedcrestie Feb 21, 2005 03:13 PM

i was going to say the same. the tails and all looked fairly well filled out and aren't withered. also there is no shed left over which you will commonly find on dehydrated/animals in poor shape.
mind you i don't own corkbarks but from photos i've seen they look pretty healthy.

Mad_1234 Feb 21, 2005 06:24 PM

They are beautiful cork barks I cannot disagree and maybe they are perfectly healthy but the male especially looks very underweight and is almost black which is a sign of severe stress. All I know is that my geckos did not look like this when they were first arrived. Anyway I didn't mean to offend anybody I just want to make sure that they make it through I hate to see these guys die. Just this fall I had a male that died shortly after arrival that looked alot like the one in the picture.
Best of luck with them,
Matt

i see where you're coming from on the coloration, i hadn't really thought about that. hard to tell from the photos though i guess.

The male is worrying me with his dark color. He is active at night and I have seen him drink. I got them from Mark Lucas.
