Weight of BCIs

lilbitlizz Jul 07, 2003 05:28 PM

Ok, so my 7ish foot bci weighed in at only 15 true pounds. (That is, I weighed myself, then weighed myself again holding her and the final weight was 15 pounds over my normal weight). However, I just saw something on TV that said that boas can reach up to 100 pounds at 10 feet. Alright, so I'm not claiming to be a mathemetician, I can't even spell it, but if mine is very close to 10 feet already and not even near 100lbs, how can that be? She feels a lot heavier than 15 lbs, but I trust the scale. How heavy are some of ya'lls boas, and is there a better way to weigh her? Since I'm the only snakeowner of a small town, I get a lot of questions, and I'd like to be presenting accurate info! : )

So I take it that it's alright for my 7 footer to only weigh 15 lbs?
