HATCHING!!!

bast Feb 21, 2005 10:57 AM

I was only going to clean cages today. I started by checking the incubator and there were two shriveled eggs. I was so dissapointed. I have been candling them so I have been observing their development. Then I noticed two tiny dragons in the vermiculite!

I am watching two more poke their heads out now. A few more eggs seem to be sweating profusely. I am setting them up in a plastic shoe box with moist paper towels to go back in the Hovabator for the next day or so.

When should they be ready to eat?

Isn't it exciting? Like Christmas morning! The eating really depends on the individual dragons. Some clutches I have had ate right out of the egg, while others waited two days or so before eating. Offer some crickets and see how they do.

Good luck, post photos!
