i have been giving ivan that calcium syrup and she has close access to her UVB but she is in there not just twitching but spasming. i did not get to see them yesterday because i was still watching that dog but when i saw them on saturday she was fine and i gave her more calcium that day.
she is going to the vet later on today because i honestly do not know what i am doing wrong

Is your uv bulb new ? What are you using? If you don't get her to the vet today , give her a couple drops a couple times a day , for a couple days, then every other ect... until you see a visible difference, hopefully in a couple weeks.

I say that only if you are using the stuff I told you about. If you have something else, I do not know what your using so I would not comment on how much to give her.

I hope she calms down soon. Let us know

Outdoor sun for an afternoon would be a great solution too.

Maybe you are using calcium powder that have phosphorus in it. Make sure to use "phosphorus-free" vitamins ! The same for your crickets too.

I ask b/c my vet just told me that he has concerns about the Mercury Vapor lights... My other vet said to use it and he states not too... but the other vet took care of lizards at the zoo... and my new one doesn't... he told me to go to www.anapsid.org/ He said this lady is very well respected across the nation for Herp care. She questions the lights and said there is more to them than meets the eye (no pun intended). My vet said to keep them at least 3 feet away or get rid of it and use two flourescents. They can exhibit odd behaviours from them if they are being damaged from the UVB... if not, then no worries....

Just another idea... you may not be using MV and this entry won't mean much... haha. Although, Melissa's sight is a great one.

It is always best to take to the vet in my opinion... but I also know how that adds up!! I have a sick one right now myself
Good luck.
