well most people say keep the humidty between 20% to 30 % and for the basking temps 115 to 120 is fine for a hatchling and juveniles, but it can be a bit higher for adults like 125 to 130.

how do i reduse the humidity?

fingersman Jul 07, 2003 09:08 PM

it depends on what kind of enclosure you have, is it a tank or wood, you cant really reduce it in a tank, that is why its best to have an enclosure that is made or wood or melanmine or even a vision cage, those enclosures keep humidty at a decent rate in my opinion tanks are the hardest, that is why i switched to a custom cage, let me know what you got, good luck

I have 3 tanks and my humidity is usually around 40-50....it's not bad...anything over 60 is no good...hurts their lungs. I have a dehumidifier in my place and it works nice to keep it at 40...which is not only good for the uro but is a comfortable level to breath and live at...i find 30% in my apt to be way too dry. (for me)

40% is generally a good humidity? Everywhere I've been reading up on uros says 10-20%.

You said anything below 60% is good? Is this just certain species or any uro?
