A telling illustration as to the mentality of the muslims in the Middle East (more..)

Spiegel TV, one of the most wellknown and serious German TV magazines reported a very interesting story yesterday:

A 7 year old child in Afghanistan was badly injured 5 years ago from a land mine. One leg was smashed. A German welfare organisation offered the parents to bring the girl to Germany for medical care on welfare expenses. The parents agreed to give the girl away and to assign the guardianship to the German authorities. The father finger-printed a corresponding document.

The surgeons in a German hospital did the trick and healed her leg almost perfectly. The relationship between the girl and a ward nurse in the hospital became so close that the nurse and her husband became the foster-parents of the girl. She is living in their home for 5 years now and calls them "father" and "mother".

The girl is attending german schools, has learned the language perfectly and adapted perfectly to the German way of life.

Now her real parents have come to Germany and want her child back. 5 years they haven't given a damn about how their daughter is doing. No word, nothing. But now she is in the age (12) where a wedding with some man in Afghanistan can be considered and may yield profit for the parents.

The girl is distraught and doesn't want to leave Germany under no circumstances. A psychologist from the department of justice who examined her stated that a return to Afghanistan would destroy her. In an interview she told that her greatest fear is to have to leave Germany and her foster-parents. She even forgot the language that is spoken in Afgh.

The father, an 75 years old looking man threatened that he has spoken with the heads of the tribes in his region and that a german woman will be kidnapped and held hostage until he can take his daughter back to Afgh. He uttered that it is a matter of honour for him.

In the meantime the medias in Afgh. have taken up the story and are stirring up. On that reason even the President of Afgh. intervened and instructed the Afgh. embassy in Germany to take measures.

The embassador of Afgh. in Germany told the TV crew that the interests of the girl and her welfare is not important because it is a matter of honour for the entire Afgh. people and the nation.

I think, there is nothing more to add.

I don't understand what our soldiers are doing in such a country...
