Oh I was freaking out so bad trying to find this forum I thought they just totally deleted it! hah
Well, just wanted to update on my PICKY GREEN.
Its been about 2 months since she last ate. Now we already knew she was picky. I mean she HAS to have a certain amount of water, HAS to have her fogger on, and HAS to have the rat put in one specific spot in the cage for her to eat. Or she will just starve herelf.
Well, we found another picky thing.
We didnt know why she wasnt eating these past months than it just hit me. We been giving her frozen rats. I would thaw them out in hot water then give them to her. But she refused them all. I then realized that we had never done that before with her. I always bred my rats and gave them to her freshly killed. Now she ate the first frozen one I gave her, but I think that was cause it had only been frozen a few days. These others had been frozen for over a week.
So anyhow, last night I tried getting her to eat the last frozen rat. Which again she refused.
So I pulled it out and put in a freshly killed rat immediatly after pulling out the other. She wasnt in her normal spot so I put the rat in a different spot near her head (she usually keeps her head in her favorite eating spot.) and she started eating the rat almost immediatly after I closed her lid.
Then later today I went and got another cause the rat I gave her was a small one. I put it in her old favorite eating spot, but she didnt want it. So I moved it to where she ate that other one and she started eating it immediatly!
So, now here is her thing,
She HAS to have a certain amount of water, HAS to have her fogger going, HAS to have it Freshly killed, and HAS to have it in her NEW favorite eating spot. lol
She is soooo picky!!!
I love her.
