Gold dust day geckos not eating

Cmullan Feb 22, 2005 03:35 AM

I have recently got a pair og gold dust day geckos, the male is eating and really healthy but the female does not want to eat and is looking thinner than when i got her. I have tried putting a mixture of honey/brown sugar on her snout which she did lick but she has not found the lid with it on inthe viv. Any ideas on how to get her to eat?

Sometimes mixing a little smashed banana in the baby food mix will attract them. If she still does not eat you may have to continue to feed her by dripping on her snout. I would try to give her more than just a brown sugar/honey mix though. Something with a bit of fruit or even try the bug juice recipe at www.adcham.com.
