Do pogona beardies sell good at all or does it depend on where you are in the world. I'm in Northern MN and anyone who I talk to about it hasn't a clue of what I'm talking about but I have 4 people that want a baby from my bearded dragon Freddy(female lol). But I have no male and I don't know anyone else that does. Plus I don't know a clue about hatching babies. I got Freddy as a baby but the part up till hatching...nothing. I try to tell people I want to learn before I try it and whether I could seel the babies easy enough. I'm not sure if a pet store would take them or what. I don't think I can use the flooring that I got in Freddy's cage right now for her to lay eggs in. I need to make Freddy a new tank because this one is way too small for her. She's 19 inches and the tank is 30 x 19 inches.

Before you look into breeding PLEASE read several care sheets.

Most females will lay 2-3 times off of one breeding. Chances are you will not make any money...it will most likely cost you!

Baby beardies eat hundreds (500-1000) of crickets a week EACH, they will need to be divided into small groups to keep them from eating each other. Each group will need its own set up with basking light and UVB (more money).

Some pet shops will purchase from private breeders...BUT very few will take good care of them. If you are lucky they will give you $10 each (by the time they are ready to sell--6 weeks--they will have eaten way more than $10 of crickets each).

1 breeding can produce 30-60 babies--sometimes more.

Unless you have a high end pair (of known lineage) don't expect to sell them privately for more than $50 each.

If you are serious about breeding then read up on it seriously and then work out the finances and space requirements. Find a good quality male (more money and a seperate tank/set up) and do it responsibly.

There is NOT a shortage of beardies.
