Help...Concern about Brumation period

Uro_Sailor Feb 22, 2005 07:53 AM

Hey guys, its been a while since I have made a post or asked a question since things have been pretty busy moving from my old house to this new one. My Uros(Nigerian-Thor, Mali-Blue) have been in brumation for quite a while and have not eaten very much. Thor will take a couple of superworms or wax worms every once in a while or a dandelion when I can scrounge them up but Blue will not take anything. She still looks pretty good. Its probably been a couple of months since I can remember her eating anything. I am still learning as a pet owner and I am afraid of hurting her if I should try to force feed her. She definitely doesn't like opening her mouth when she don't want to. Should I be concerned or will they come out of this on their own? I'll try to post some picture later when I get home. Thanks for any help you can give.

How warm are her temps?

If she is not losing any weight and looks good, appears healthy in all other ways, I would leave her be. She will come out and eat when shes ready!
