WKMG (Orlando, Florida) 22 February 05 Exotic Pet Owner In College Park May Lose License - 3 Crocodiles, Cobras Found At Home
A man living in a Orange County neighborhood may lose his right to keep his exotic animals after officials found three crocodiles, cobras and other poisonous snakes living inside his home, according to a Local 6 News report.
State officials said they uncovered the crocodiles at the College Park home of Michael Kennedy earlier this year.
Kennedy is licensed to own reptiles, but investigators said he is not allowed to keep them in College Park.
"He's got Nile and Cuban crocodiles," neighbor Marsha Cole said in an earlier report. "He's got a green mamba. He's got two albino cobras."
In January, Cole said she was walking in her backyard when she says she was confronted by an albino diamondback rattler that apparently escaped from Kennedy's home.
"There was this yellow snake coiled up and struck right at me," Cole said.
Investigators said three years ago, a 13-foot cobra escaped from Kennedy's house and went into a neighbor's garage.
A cougar and a jaguar were also reportedly housed in cages on the property until the cages were damaged by the hurricanes, according to the report.
Wildlife officials said the animal escapes and the recently discovered crocodiles could force Kennedy to lose his animal licenses.
Prosecutors are expected to ask for Kennedy's license to be revoked Monday.

His loss could be your gain. I like someone who thinks positively.
