Herp room with no natural light

Finnigan Feb 22, 2005 11:50 AM

My herp room currently had 2 windows, but I am considering moving into a new house, and its looking like my herp room won't get any natural light. Of course, I will have my lights on a timer (like I do now anyways).

What's everyone's thoughts on a no-natural-light herp room?

Thanks,
Joel

To be honest I don't think it really matters.

I have had mine in a room with no natural light for three years and they are all fine. Just make sure you have ample light and everything will be alright.

My herp room at my old place didn't have any windows and it was in a basement. I had the flourescent lights on a timer for a day/night cycle. They seemed to do fine. I now have filtered light in my snake room (basement windows have blinds on them) but the flourescent lights are still on a timer.
