As said before the 'tools and toys' link shows how to embed an image into the posts. The part that isn't obvious is that the image in question has to be already on the internet somewhere.

If you have your own webspace, you can upload your image there and then embed it into your post using the IMG and /IMG qualifiers. If not, there is a link at the top of this forum that goes to a host server that you can sign into for 10mb of free space to upload pictures. It's called the "reptile and amphibian photo gallery".

I know that's probably not the level of detail you asked for, but maybe it can get you started.
