Hey guys got a situation I know you can help me out with. I have a Hog Isle Boa, he is just under a year old, I bought him at a store that fed him live prey. (stunned) In an effort to save some money I ordered from rodentpro. I can't seem to convince him to switch over to frozen. He wants nothing to do with it. Any suggestions or proven methods would be appreciated. I ideally would like to get him to eat like my JCP, you just drop a rat in and he just consumes it without even constricting it.

He was hungry today and I tried to feed him a frozen to no avail so I gave him a stunned and he ate it in 2 seconds... How can I get him to the point of just being able to drop it in there and he'll eat it?

With my boas I feed f/t rats. What I do is I use tongs and hold the rat by the tail and move it so the boas can see it move. I also feed my boas outside their cages in a seperate container. Hope this helps.

I too am struggling with this same issue with my female Hog. She just won't eat F/T. I keep trying. I hope my persistance pays off. If it does, I'll let you know what worked for me.
