breeding kings are bleeding

My two kingsnakes are breeding and I found about 2-3 tablespoons of mucusly blood in the tank. anyone have any ideas whats going on or if that it even ok?? please e-mail me Katt_inthe_hatt@hotmail.com thanks

I prefer to keep conversations here so everyone can learn from the experiences.
I specifically do not know if this is normal for kingsnakes but have heard that it is somewhat normal in other snakes.
2-3 teaspoons would be a lot, but guesses from smeared blood on the substrate are often overestimated. Even a small drop of blood can smear across newsprint a long way.
