Breeding Crickets

vampchick00 Feb 22, 2005 06:00 PM

Hi...

Has anyone every tried this? And If so, how big do the crickets need to be and under what conditions in order for them to breed? If any one has any info on this, or can point me in the direction of a good website that would be great.

Thanks in advance!!

cricket sites:
www.iaherp.org/caresheets/feeders.html
www.herpindex.com/center/cricbred.html
www.iosphere.net/~ajs/breeding.htm

you may want to considder roaches
They increase the color of the animal they are fed to
Even the picky eaters like them
They are easier to digest than mealies, supers and even crix
Their meat to shell ratio is better than crix
Thay are easy to raise and care for

Yeah, I have heard tons of great things about roaches, and *I* would love to try them..only problem was, it was a struggle and a half to get my mom to agree to having a "cold blooded creepy-crawly" in the house, and I tried mentioning roaches, but she automatically thinks they will get out and multiply...

*sigh* mothers...

Thanks for the sites, that is awesome!
