? about housing different species together

I live in texas and have a small local gecko that I found at the bottom of a scap heap that I call LUCKY. He is living quite contently in a 10 gallon and is getting fat on crickets.
I just got back from big bend and found a small striped lizard about the same size as the gecko. Would they be happy as roommates or do I need another setup?
