Went out to find a locality girlfriend for my desert/speckled king today and found some amphs, a flock of red eared sliders basking and several snakes, 1 Texas rat, 4 rough greens, and 2 rough earth snakes. Unfortunately I was too late to nab this adult Prairie king from the highway. No luck with a mate, either. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Calhoun/Refugio county border.
