Need help - Cloudy, green eyes

Aeromeggy Feb 23, 2005 03:48 PM

I'm so confused. This December was the 1st time my 3 year old beardie went into brumation. She has just started showing signs the past couple weeks of waking up. I figured I would take her out today and bathe and feed her since her fat pads are sinking in. She won't really open her eyes, but when she did, the one looks cloudy and the other looks like it has a greenish colored film on it. She wouldn't go after crickets but she ate them if we put them in her mouth. I plan on taking her to the vet, but any ideas what could be wrong?

Take her out, give her a couple of good lukewarm soaks to clean out her system. Gently bathe her eyes with water on a cotton ball. Get her temps back up in the tank. Watch for any nasal discharge, gaping when breathing, or wheezing/whistling sounds when she breathes. Get her in to see the vet for her annual checkup and either rule out or begin to treat for any respiratory infection.
