Thanks for the info folks i really appreciate it. One other question i have then is, is the 150Wbulb i have too big should i go to a 100 watt? And do most people have multiple bulbs for the day, outside of the uvb bulb? So a total of three? Do you have nightglow lamps/bulbs for the beardies, or are they just a visual thing for the owner?

I was also wondering about the use of blacklight night bulbs, combined with dayglow (or whatever you call blacklight responsive colors) items in the tank, colored sand, or maybe the background has somethign in it? Sounds cool but it also seems like maybe that glowing would be a distraction to the beardies. Someone told me they don't see certain colors like blue or red?

Thanks again folks.

In my set up I use two 100watt basking bulbs over her hot spot and a 14inch UVB strip light on the cool side of the tank. The amount of bulbs and the wattage you use depends on your individual climate needs.

As far as black lights at night some people use them to keep the heat up in their enclosures. I personally leave only her UTH on during the night, beardies can take pretty cold temperatures, and my house never drops below 70 anyway so i don't see a need for additional night heat. Again, the addition of night bulbs are a personal perference and it depends on the temps of your house. As far as using a black light with glow in the dark sand, i only have one thing to say on that matter. The only glow in the dark sand that i have ever seen was Calci-sand which should not be used with beardies anyway because it can cause impaction. The only sand you should use with your beardies is very fine screened play sand.

Good luck! Hope this helps
