Of course I'm not really sure what a fireball's belly is supposed to look like.

HTDesigns Feb 24, 2005 08:26 AM

Just a normal belly but i spoke with Mike Wilbanks (thanks for your time Mike) and he said really the only way to prove it is to breed it out so hopefully this year i produce some hatchlings that resemble thier mom and this gene is co-dom...thanks

RandyRemington Feb 24, 2005 08:49 PM

I've only seen one fireball belly pic (and that only briefly) so hard to know if it was representative but I THINK one of several traits is a wide white belly just like all the other het white snakes.

snakebstr Feb 24, 2005 09:25 AM

I really do NOT think that the snake pictured is a FIREBALL, I am not just saying this because I don't want to believe that you found one, Believe me I would be the first one to tell you If I thought you had the real deal. You have a very NICE looking female that seems to be gravid and also looks kinda labyrinth looking....VERY kool...and it should produce some very kool looking babies, But I doubt you will get fireballs, But then I again I am not an expert at the "fireball" ball pythons, But I do know they have a firey blushing running from the belly throughout the top of the body. Thus the name FIRE ball, I see NO blushing on your female. Good luck with her. See ya

I have tried over and over again you just don't see the blushing but its there. I hate to say it but nothing ever happens like this for me so I doubt it to but heres hoping...

Paul, The fact is YOU never Know what that snake holds in her gene's. I am not saying Don't work with her, I am just saying that she doesn't look like a Fire ball, maybe she is something else, but I doubt she is a fire ball. Here is close to what I am talking about when I say blushing.

THIS picture of this snake is NOT a FIRE ball, But I was told it looks very much like one, It is supposed to be a yellow belly. Thanks David

Only a few people have these. I think Ralph, Eric, Mike, Bob, are the main ones working with this black eyed lucy project. But I could be wrong. Information on these is very limited. Thanks David

I knew it was not a fire ball, But it is still an awesome female and you never know she might throw something cool, But if Eric says its NOT a Fire ball then you can bet you bottom that it isn't one. If I am not mistaken I believe Eric was one of the first if not the first to prove the fireball out. Were they not the ones that bred the black eyed lucy to produce the original fireballs(het black eyed lucy)? Thanks David
