first time breeding and i have some incubation questions..

1. how reliable are hova-bators?

2. can i use sphagnum moss to put the eggs in in the incubator? like instead of vermiculite..

3. anyone know of a site that explains all this.. with lots of pictures?

Hi there,
Just go to www.albeysreptiles.com they have a step by step method of incubating eggs. This is the method that I use,
and I've never had any problems. Just go to the top of the forum page and you'll see their add. They have lots of beautiful leos. Hope this helps, good luck.

caresheets ive read say that to get them to breed they need a "winter" with shorter days and slightly lower temps... is this necessary? dave

Not necessarily. I have a male that will breed 26/7/365. Your right it isnt necessary at all, and I think most breeders dont do it for leos.
