Where I got the tracks for my cage, as per request

paul kemes Feb 24, 2005 03:11 PM

A few people had asked about them.

I got them at Home Depot. Some people say they can't find them there, but you have to know where to look. First go to the door, not window department, and either ask for help, or look in the section that has folding and sliding CLOSET doors, that is where I found them. they are made by STANELY.

Hope this helps,
Paul Kemes

Nice cage! I was wondering, I just finished a cage with the same style doors and I am having trouble with the crickets getting out between the panes of glass. How do you prevent this? Thanks.

All you have to do is push the doors together.

i kno its a silly question, but what exactly are tracks?

firefighter2598 Feb 25, 2005 07:02 AM

What do you mean push the doors together? These doors are 1/4 thick plate glass and slide on two different tracks with about 1/4 inch gap between them the ie crickets escape.

Get some 1/4" thick wheather stripping with the sticky back and stick it to one of the panes where they meet when closed. That's the only thing I can think of....
