I've seen a few animals that exist with pink eyes and leucism. I dont understand the combination. Can someone please break it down for me?

I've seen a few animals that exist with pink eyes and leucism. I dont understand the combination. Can someone please break it down for me?

It would be a Homozygous form of albino and leucistic.

Thanx for the repsonse. So is this a particularly hard trait to produce? It seems to get a lot of attention.

A double recessive trait in one animal is a 1 in 16 chance per neonate to end up with both being homozygous. You have to breed the albino to a leucistic, then a pair of the double het albino leucistic to double het albino leucistic (similar to snow boas or snow ball pythons). The difficulty in producing it would be dictated on the average clutch size. A smaller average clutch size ends up with a smaller number to hopefully hit the 1 in 16 odds in atleast one of the offspring.
