I bought him as a gift for my then girlfriend (now wife) about a year and a half ago. (I got really lucky to find a beautiful woman who likes reptiles as much as I do.) I say 'him', but I haven't had him sexed, yet. We call him Nicodemus.

Age: 1 year 6-9 months
Length: ~30 in
Weight: ~9 oz

How he looked then:

How he looks now:

His home:

You probably noticed the temp gauge in the cage. There are actually two--one in the coolest part of the cage and one in the warmest. The display at the top is reading the warmer one.

Thanks,

BEAUTIFUL SNAKE... I'M GUESSING HE IS A LITTLE MORE GREEN THEN THE PIC SHOWS???

I HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING THE GREEN TO SHOW UP IN MY PICS...

MY BABY IS ALMOST ALL GREEN NOW, BUT THE GREEN IS LIGHT AND WHEN YOU TAKE A PIC IT LOOKS LIKE HE IS A DARKER YELLOW..

Thanks, I like him.

Actually, the picture is accurate. His green is really light--almost like its underneath the yellow. This picture is just a few day after a shed, too.

If he stays that shade of green, he'll look really fine. I'm thinking that he'll darken up a bit more, though.

hi. i never knew anyone else named Rin.very nice snake. good luck with it..

Rin Feb 26, 2005 03:20 PM

Sorry to say, Rin isn't actually my real name. It's Todd. I've used Rin as my online handle for so long that it dates back to the days of dialing up to fido-net bulletin boards back in the 80s.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the critter. If he/she comes out to be the key-lime color that I think he/she might, I'll consider breeding. For now I just enjoying having him around.
