Hey Steve, I checked out your site and the pics of this animal are really incredible. Are you the only person who has successfully created this cross? Please tell us more about it. Like which was the female and how many eggs were in the clutch? Have you bred 2 of these Hybrids together yet and produced offspring? Congrats on this any which way, this is the first time I have seen one. Nice site and killer facility you have, best of luck Tom Stevens
As far as I know these are the only "Super Balls" which are Marble Borneo to ball crosses. Chris Jackson has had great success producing "Borneo Balls", normal Borneo to ball crosses, which are equally as beautiful with slight variance in appearance. I'm not so sure if the difference is due to the marble influence or just a natural variance.
The mom was a Marble Borneo, identifying the father is not as easy, she copulated with an albino ball, a poss het albino ball and a normal ball all around the same time, so some of the hybrid offspring may possibly be het for albino.
Last year I produced fertile appearing eggs from a hybrid to hybrid breeding, the eggs died out half way through the incubation process. I am uncertain if the eggs failed to go full term because of the "hybrid curse" or if it was due to the young age of the female, 18 months. I am breeding hybrid to hybrid again this season as well as hybrid to normal Borneo in hope of proving them fertile.
These animals were exciting to produce and have been great to work with, I guess I'll always be a sucker for hybrids. So far I have received positive feedback from all who have seen them!
Thanks for the interest Tom, let's keep our fingers crossed this season.

Have you had any luck with the Angolan Balls yet? Those are sweet too!!
Not yet the pair I'm working with are still young.

Sorry here is the pic

Congratsulations on a lovely looking super ball. I hope all of your breedings pairs have lots of fertile eggs.
Now, on to my questions. How many eggs were in the infertile cluch? Was the number closer to ball average or blood average? Do you have any more pics of the now older pythons? Can you please post them or put them up on your site? If you were to sell one or two of these terrific serpents, how much would you sell him/her/them for? And what advice do you offer to those of us attempting to cross breed bloods and balls?
I, myself, am trying to breed my male ball with my female back blood.
I love these hybrids, The mix of the blood's sharp appearance and darting eyes, Together with the ball almost cartoonish face and kind nature.
I thank you for reading and wish everyone the best of luck.
