How long without food?

JerJel Feb 25, 2005 04:09 PM

I am going to go on some out of town trips (approx. 3 to 5 days) in the months ahead. If necessary, I can get someone to come to my apartment to take care of my two adult cresties, but I was wondering how long an absence would make this necessary. I have seen both geckos drink from a bowl, so I don't think water would be a problem, but how long can they comfortably go without being fed?

I would say 3 days is the maximum but it would be better if they are fed everyother day Good luck

Derek,

I have trained my cresteds to eat the Crested MRP from TRex dry. This means that I can put a dish of dry powder in there to last them a week, turn on the auto mister and take off.

Give it a try, once mine were eating the MRP they switched right over.
