Hot books?

TheDVDMan Feb 25, 2005 07:09 PM

Any general hot book recommendations?
Right now, the one at the top of my list is "Venomous Snakes: Snakes in the Vivarium", plus a nice rattlesnake book I've seen a few times (just called "Rattlesnakes", I think). I've seen an ad somewhere for on of the mini species-specific guides for copperheads & eye lash vipers, I'd like to get those (no real interest in owning an eye lash viper, but still find all snakes interesting!). Any others?

The author of Rattlesnakes is Manny Rubio.

One book that you will probably enjoy, though hard to find, is Snake Venom Poisoning by Dr. Findlay E. Russell.

Another is Venomous Snakes of the World byWilliam P. Mara.

One more: Coral Snakes of the Americas by Janis Roze.

Glad to hear there are others who purchase books on species they never intend to keep. I am fascinated with red spitting cobras, naja pallida, but am pretty sure that I will never have one in my house.
