how do u kno if a bd has a dead tail? my young's tail looks a lil pale compared to the rest of his body. i dont kno if its dead or if it just hasnt shed. any replies would be great. ty

Typically a bad tail turns black. Yours sounds like it may be getting ready to shed or has some shed left on it.

Sounds like he may have yet to shed the skin on the tail. This is common - the pale appearance and the tail shed remaining on for a longer period of time than the rest of the animals' body. If your beardies tail or some portion of it is "dead" it will probably fall off. If you want you can soak the animal and this may facilitate the shedding process. If after a time it does not appear to be a shedding issue you may want to consult a vet.
